Golf Business - October 2008

In October 2008, Golf Business magazine writes about Evo as a "Bright Idea." Author David Gould reports about the success that GlenArbor Club in Beford Hills, New York is having with Evo Flattop Grills. Chef Carey Favreau reports that Evo becomes the star of the show at the club's open-air dining events where "people are always around the grill."

Slow Food Nation - San Francisco - August 2008

Chef Rohit Singh, guest chef at Culinary Institute of America (CIA), St. Helena, California used an Evo Professional Tabletop to cook Indian breads at the Slow Food Nation event at Fort Mason in San Francisco. Chef Singh and his team served about 5,000 Indian breads from Evo and other equipment to 60,000 guests in attendance in the Bread Pavillion. Lesley Stahl of 60 minutes was there to profile the event.

The popularity of outdoor kitchens continues to skyrocket. HGTV recently featured highlights from K/BIS 2008 on their website, and showed the Evo Affinity 30G (outdoor built-in) in their Outdoor Kitchen Grills section. Note: Evo is the second product featured in the clip.

The host says: "With outdoor grills like this, you may never cook inside again. This cool [Evo] grill was built for a party. The built-in flush mount design goes with granite, marble or concrete tops."

Chef Doug Miner of Cross Wind Catering recently prepared "Oh My Gosh Steak" on an Evo Professional Cart for the RV Cooking Show - a virtual cooking class on wheels with an RV travel twist that takes viewers on adventures to some of the most sought-after or interesting but little-known RV locales in the country and then creates a healthy, easy, delicious destination-related recipe in host Evanne Schmarder's RV kitchen.

Evo at K/BIS, Today's Homeowner with Danny Lipford

As part of their Kitchen and Bath Industry Show (K/BIS) coverage, Today's Homeowner with Danny Lipford featured Evo indoor and outdoor appliances. Louisville Magazine featured the Evo Companion Cart in it's annual home and garden issue. The magazine is a lifestyle and general-interest monthly magazine for residents of metropolitan Louisville. The magazine has won hundreds of awards for writing, photography and design from the Society of Professional Journalists and is widely recognized as the city’s best and most influential magazine.

The article notes that with the Companion Cart, you flip three latches and the cart becomes a tabletop for your next tailgating event.

Kansas City Bullsheet - June 2008

The Kansas City Bullsheet, a monthly publication of the Kansas City Barbeque Society, featured several pictures of Evo in their June 2008 edition, along with the article "Portland Kirk Class Return Features Kobe Burgers and Foie Gras." The pictures show BBQ team Steve Johnson, Dave Goodman, Doug Miner and Adam "Huey" Cox cooking bacon, Kobe beef burgers, chopped mushrooms and onions and Foie Gras at a Paul Kirk pitmaster class held on April 6th.

CNET's Appliances and Kitchen Gadgets blog featured an article about Evo titled "Camping, grilling in style." Barry "Cutty" Cutler has a television show "Cookin' with Cutty" on the Big Island of Hawaii. He uses Evo front and center for demonstration cooking and calls Evo a "revolutionary product."

Catersource Magazine's May/June 2008 edition featured an article on outdoor cooking, which discusses the popularity of live cooking demonstrations. "Ever since the Food Network hit the culinary scene...people have gained a newfound affinity for watching chefs cook and perform on the fly."

Food and Hotel Asia - Show Daily

Evo was mentioned in the Food and Hotel Asia (FHA) show daily newspaper along with international trade partner, Greenfield Worldtrade. The article highlighted Greenfield's new product lines including Evo and reported Greenfield successfully sold 25% of the products that were on the exhibition floor in the first day alone.

Held in Singapore, FHA is Asia’s largest international food and hospitality event with over 36,000 trade visitors and 2,330 exhibiting companies. At the show, Evo featured its Professional Wheeled Cart.

Food Styling for Photographers

Photographers, and especially food stylists, love to photograph Evo because of it's beautiful, dark, seasoned cooksurface and ability to display food product exceptionally well. Which is why Linda Bellingham and Jean Ann Bybee chose to use Evo in their new book, Food Styling for Photographers. This book is a "guide to creating your own appetizing art" with tricks and techniques used by professional food stylists.
