West Hawaii Today - December 2006

The "At Home" pullout section of the West Hawaii Today newspaper featured a story about outdoor cooking in Hawaii. The article discusses several Evo installations which make "for easy creation of...gourmet dishes" and a "grilling surface which matches the production capacity of a restaurant grill with a newly developed attractiveness and convenience of a non-stick round grilling surface." Local chef and TV personality Barry "Cutty" Cutler films his TV show "Cooking with Cutty" at his home in Kailua-Kona, where he has a built-in Evo grill. The article has several pictures of Evo with Barry Cutler and pizza chef Gene DiCicco.

In September 2006, Go magazine (the official in-flight publication of AirTran Airways) featured the Evo Companion. The snippet called Evo "slick" and praised the Companion's convenience of detaching the grill from the cart "for camping trips or taking on the road."

Chef Joshua Scott prepares crab cakes on an Evo Professional Cart at the Bite of Oregon. Evo is being used more and more at Iron Chef competitions because it offers cooking versatility while foregoing the billowing smoke and flame hazards of traditional grated appliances.

The Dallas Morning News special Home section featured a picture of the Evo Professional Cart and describes it as delivering "lots of power and even temperatures."

The article goes on to praise its versatility, ease of use and cleaning, social nature, appearance, and the fact that it is made locally.

Special Events magazine featured an article about an event catered by Greenwood Village, Colo.-based Epicurean Catering. The $500K event was for Denver Broncos football coach Mike Shanahan's daughter.

Appetizer station items included skewers of coconut-fried lobster and mint-roasted lamb, both made to order on Evo flattop grills, purchased just for the occasion.

Pacific Northwest Defense Solutions magazine featured a column about Evo, noting that it caught on with professional chefs at the Culinary Institute of America at Greystone and the James Beard Foundation. The clip goes on to say that Evo is beginning to receive more attention from the Armed Services Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) division.
