Evo Grills Cooking Up The Feast at “Harambe Nights” Disney World - Animal Kingdom

Disney World is introducing a dinner-and-show combo in a unique setting: After dark at Disney's Animal Kingdom theme park.  To mark the 20th anniversary of the Disney blockbuster "The Lion King”, the nighttime celebration includes themed dining and live performances in a show titled "The Lion King — Concert in the Wild."  At the park’s Harambe Theater, a celebrity narrator will tell the story of Simba, the cub who would be king, beginning with actress Viola Davis on June 7 each Saturday through August 9th.

Aside from the amazing and original show that Disney has planned for guests, the 55-minute “Lion King Concert In the Wild,” attendees will get to enjoy a number of themed food and beverage picks during an outdoor street party which follows the show.  Foodie picks to watch out for include Lion Chow (a sweet, spicy and savory snack mix of pretzel chips, benne crumbles, cardamom candied pecans, golden raisins, dried cherries and candied ginger), Fresh Bread (naan, onion kucha and pappadum), Surf & Turf made on the Evo Grill (freshly seared lamb chops with tamarind pomegranate sauce and corvina filet with goan curry), Salad selections, South African Wine selections and Jungle Juice (mixed with rum and not for the kids).  This event does welcome children, with the kid-friendly menu including macaroni and cheese, chicken legs, and a non-alcoholic “Simba juice.”  A little something for everyone!  To make a reservation guests can visit Disneyworld.com/HarambeNights or call 407-939-1319.
