Hearth & Home magazine - December 2007
Hearth and Home, the voice of the hearth, patio and barbeque industries, writes about trends and new barbeques in their December 2008 article entitled "R&D on Overtime!" The author says they are seeing two emerging trends - an increase in electric grills and the introduction of flattop grills "on which food cooks on a griddle-like surface and is not exposed to an open flame at all."
Highlighting these trends, the Evo Affinity Series grills (30G and 25E) are prominently featured in the article, along with a large picture of the 30G built-in.

MWR Today - November 2007
The November issue of MWR Today magazine announced that Evo was awarded a GSA contract, which gives government agencies access to Evo products at favorable terms. The General Services Administration (GSA) is an independent agency of the United States government, established in 1949 to help manage and support the basic functioning of federal agencies. The GSA supplies products and communications for U.S. government offices, provides transportation and office space to federal employees, and develops government wide cost-minimizing policies, among other management tasks. The article goes on to mention that Evo is installed at several government facilities including Tyndall's Golf Club, Florida; Fort Jackson Officers Club, S. Carolina; and Galaxies Club in Sasebo, Japan.

Restaurant Business magazine featured a story about "Traveling Gear" in their November 2007 issue. The author Tom O'Brien discusses "Flattop cookers ...particularly well suited to outdoor presentation cooking."

Catersource magazine - Nov/Dec 2007
Catersource magazine gives an inside look at the catersource 2007 showcase event called Intrigue. A picture of an Evo Affinity 25E Presentation Station (lower right) is shown at the event, which was held at the Rio Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. The author Ingrid Nagy (and owner of Catering by Design) applaudes Evo's live-action display cooking capabilities "which are great, by the way" and goes on to say the units "work off electricity, not propane, so they can be used indoors, and they are really catering friendly."

Club & Resort Business magazine featured the Evo Affinity 25E Cart in the "Product Showcase" section of their October issue. The primary features of the 25E Cart were included as well as a picture the unit.
Great Day Houston - October 2007
The CBS television affiliate in Houston (KHOU) featured Evo in several cooking segments on their morning TV show - Great Day Houston. Chefs from Clary's Seafood Restaurant use Evo to cook a cajun red snapper at about the 6:15 point in the video. Houston-based grill retailer Chim Chimneys supplied Evo for the show.

The Half Moon Bay Review - October 2007
The Half Moon Bay (CA) Review ran a story about Rebecca Seeley-Kavaliku, owner of Gourmet Appliance, a high-end dealer that carries Evo. The article discusses the elite appliance market and how Evo fits into her product mix. "It's like a Benihana's type thing," said shop worker Tammy Houston of the Evo Flattop Grill, a product well geared for the signature chop and flip showmanship of the popular Japanese restaurant chain. "It's really big right now."
The store concept is to deliver commercial grade appliances to residential customers. "We're selling stuff for the classiness of it, but we service everything we sell. It's lifetime warranty stuff and things that work for the Coastside because of the rust."

Residential Design & Build magazine and Qualified Remodeler, specialty publications for the custom home builder market, featured the Evo Affinity 25E Cook Top in their new products section. The magazines indicate Evo is "designed to create social cooking environments in both indoor and outdoor kitchens. It incorporates a circular flattop cooking surface with independent cooking zones."

Derrick Riches, freelance technical writer, outdoor cooking products industry consultant and avid backyard chef has served as About's guide to Barbecue and Grilling for over nine years. Over the years Derrick has cooked on hundreds of grills, smokers and pretty much anything else you can fire up on the patio. In his article "The best of the best grill on the market" he calls Evo the "Ultimate Tech" grill and "truly the perfect grill for entertaining" and its round shape provide the ability to "have several people cooking at once."

Colorado Homes & Lifestyles - September 2007
In an article entitled "Witness The Evolution of Colorado Contemporary Design," Colorado Homes and Lifestyles magazine featured a picture of an Evo Tabletop Companion (right side of photo below). The grill is prominently featured on the rooftop of a new townhome project in the ballpark district of Downtown Denver. This project challenged 7 of Denver's most notable contemporary designers to create the ultimate Colorado contemporary experience.

In their 41st annual cooking report entitled "Cooking and Looking Smart," Appliance Magazine discusses consumers "love affair with higher-end appliances."

Chef Adam sets a new world record on live TV - August 2007
Adam Zwerling, Evo's corporate chef, established a new world record this morning for pancake flipping. Zwerling flipped 651 pancakes, easily surpassing the previous world record of 555 pancakes flipped by one man in the span of one hour. As with the previous record, Zwerling used three (3) Evo Flattop Grills to cook pancakes that were no less than 5 inches in diameter, no more than 0.39 inches thick, and cooked through without being burned.
Chef Mark Bernetich, Corporate Chef for Sysco Food Services in Portland, served as the official judge at this morning’s record-setting event. Wilsonville, Oregon-based Sysco hosted the event, provided the pancake ingredients and collected donations to benefit Special Olympics of Oregon. Drew Carney, TV reporter for Portland’s NewsChannel 8 covered the event live on his “Out and About” television show. Watch the video by clicking here. Also, see pictures here. So far, the story has been picked up by NBC stations in Chattanooga, Knoxville, and Quincy, IL.

Evo at Hawaiian Home Expo - August 2007
Leisure Island Grills, an Evo reseller on the Big Island of Hawaii recently displayed built-in and freestanding Evo circular flattop grills at the the Kona Building & Design Expo at the Keauhou Convention Center. The event featured 100 exhibits from local companies in the areas of home design, construction, home decorating, landscaping, pools and spas, indoor and outdoor furniture, home security and more.

Chef, the magazine for Foodservice Professionals, mentioned Evo in an article that focused on the hot topics discussed at the CaterArts Symposium recently held at Sullivan University. Author and James Beard Foundation nominated chef Eric LeVine reports "Evo flattop griddles have made a great difference in chef action stations. Evo has indoor and outdoor flattops for different demands and locations."

The Evo Affinity 25E Cart was featured on the front page of the Event Equipment section of the Special Events magazine website, the premier information source for event catering. The description indicates a 25-inch cooking surface with electronically controlled inner and outer heaters, a steel cooking surface that is is easy to clean and durable and a cabinet that stores up to eight sheet pans.

Kitchens and Baths, a special interest publication from Woman's Day magazine featured an Evo Companion Tabletop grill in their 2007 issue. The grill was part of their outdoor living section focusing on "the latest crop of great-looking--and performing--grills."
