Evo is always featured at Compadres weekend, an annual event consisting of men eating and drinking in the Oregon woods. Compadres and Saucy Rubs founder, Adam Cox writes on his blog:

"The main attraction was cooking on the Evo Flattop itself. [Evo Chef Adam] Zwerling brought his Evo, and I brought mine. His was setup in the middle of the whole campsite, while mine was in the kitchen. This allowed all the Compadres to come around the Evo and be a part of the cooking if they wanted."

Portland Street of Dreams - May 2009

Evo was featured on the Portland Street of Dreams blog. The author writes:
